I say "Happy Haunting" because we still have leftover candy that is staring at me in the face as I type this.
Eli started at the end of September saying he wanted to be an astronaut for Halloweeen and would not be swayed - not Buzz Lightyear, a real astronaut. I was getting a little nervous because a true astronaut costume with helmet could not be found... at the price I was willling to pay. 2 weeks before Halloween I bought an "okay" costume from Toys R Us online then planned to paper mache a helmet using a balloon. I have not paper mache'd since elementary school but I was prepared. Low and behold one afternoon while at Costco out of the corner of my eye I see this silver costume. I practically ran to the costume rack and picked out the MOST AMAZING astronaut costume with helmet. It was the last one left, a size 3/4 and the best part - it was only $24.00. It was a total God wink (A God wink is those little things that are a big deal to you that get solved out of nowhere.)
We had a little kid party at our house again with some of our friends. We walked the neighborhood then headed back to the house for food and games. It was a blast!
My future astronaut. . . if NASA restarts it's space program. |
All his little friends and YES he is doing that on purpose |

I love this picture. It really shows how fast they were running for candy! |
