Since Eli started pre-k 3 this year we had somewhat of a spring break. I don't think he could really tell but we were able to have a great time to relax and enjoy the spring weather.
Eli is a big fan of PJ days. He pretty much asks every morning - "Is today a PJ day?". We had a PJ day on Monday and Tuesday. On PJ days we stay at home and do nothing and everything at the same time. We play toys, games, watch movies (I even convince him that cleaning is a fun game too) all while in our PJs.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were such beautiful days that we spent most of the day outside playing. We also got our first snow cone of the season!!! I literally will drive 20 minutes to go to Bedford Snowballs. They're the best. I can't wait for summer so that we can add swimming to the mix!
Saturday we spent a great deal of time tending to our flower beds. They were nasty and when you live across the street from yard of the month, it's only a matter of time before the HOA police show up.
So we set ourselves up for a long day outside with snacks, tools and toys. The funny thing about Eli is he is 100% boy but hates to have his hands dirty. He has felt that way since a baby. Needless to say, he did not help spread the mulch.
Now it's Sunday and we are preparing for the next week and the craziness it will bring!

Posting from my phone! I love technology!
So I'm posting from my phone...how awesome is that? I love having an iPhone! So I don't know what it will look like on the web but maybe this will help me post short quick updates on our crazy daily lives.
This year has been so BUSY. I can't believe we are in March. Here's a little update on all of us.
Brent officially stepped in to his new position at work - even though he had taken on most of the duties in the summer. It means more travel, more headaches and a lot more responsibility! He is growing and stretching in all new ways professionally. I'm really proud of all he does to provide for us. He has also taken on the responsibility as one of the main organizers for our Student Summer Camp. You know he likes spreadsheets, you should see the monstrosity he has for this. I think several people fainted when he opened it up for the first time.
As for me, the end of last year my scoping side job had become almost nonexistent.- which I was kind of okay with. So at the beginning of this year I prayed, Lord, if you want me to be done with this, I'm good to let it go now. As background, the thought of just being a SAHM still wasn't "enough" for me. I was still too career focused even after leaving the corporate world 2 years ago. Well, God answered immediately. I have been SWAMPED! Like no time to rest busy. So I'm trucking along editing depositions on home construction, car accidents, bankruptcy, etc.
And finally Eli. He is still ah-mazing, as always. He is so sweet, smart, funny and compassionate. He is having a great time at school and even has a best friend, Abram. He and Abram play "watch this" during nap time. "Watch this" consists of silly faces, looking like a fish out of water and animal noises. Boys!!
We also play the "What am I" game on our drives around town. I love to hear his imagination and the knowledge he has. What am I can be anything - animals, people, cars.
He has also taken control of our dinner table. He asks, "What did you do today," "How was your day," "Tell me about what you ate for lunch." We usually get about 4 words in before he interrupts us with what he did and other tangents. We're working on the whole taking turns while speaking.
So this is all done from my phone. I hope the ease of access to Blogger will help me to update everyone with crazy little stories or fun things we have done. We shall see...
I also attached a few recent pics. I'm not sure how they really play into the format, but everyone likes pictures!!
