Sick Baby

We have a very sick baby. What we thought was a cold turned out to be much more! So we have breathing treatments every 4-6 hours.

Each treatment takes between 10-12 minutes. The first 3 or 4 times he SCREAMED through the entire process. He scared the nurses and other children at the doctor's office. So, as it comes to mind, please say a little prayer for Eli. We are ready for him to get back to his normal self.
Sweet little Eli still asleep at 9:30. This is very unusual. His normal wake-up time is 6:30.

On a positive note -- we are day 4 of no pacifier!

At first it was because he couldn't breath, but now he is asking for it again. We are all trying to stay strong and not give in. This would be a huge milestone! I was afraid he might be one of those kids that start kindergarten with one. Not really, but there was no end in sight.

Cannonball!!

Oh, yes that is Brent jumping into our freezing pool January 1st. To begin the story we need to rewind 5 hours.
It began here . . . enjoying a nice dinner with nice friends when . . .

Bum bah bum LAUREN comes up with a great idea. "A polar bear jump" she said "and I will makeus t-shirts".

She recruited 3 other people to take the plunge. Then the stakes got higher.

You will notice Brent and I are missing from the jump. So someone (Lauren) came up with the idea of boys vs girls in Taboo. If the girls won Brent jumped into the pool and if the boys won I jumped.

Girls vs Boys

Whew, thank goodness my girls pulled through! The pool was a chilly 47 degrees.

A great way to ring in 2011. Thanks Lauren! She is always creative and keeps the party interesting.

Christmas Whirlwind

Christmas wrap-up!

Christmas Eve morning brunch at my mom's followed by presents, movies, games and relaxing.
Then off in the afternoon to Grandma B's house for more fun with the Fishers.

Eli's favorite movie - Kung Fu Panda. No explaning necessary. He saw the movie cover and was thrilled.

Christmas Day -- GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY! I think Eli was still a little sleepy, but we had to get the day started. Breakfast and his parents house, lunch at the Fisher grandparents, and then dinner with my family.

Look what Santa brought!

Helping move presents into the front room.

T-ball! It's never too early to start practicing. He closes his eyes before making contact with the ball. We will have to work on that.

And of course a picture with his best buddy Colton.

New Year's Eve is next!
