Over the last two months I have seen a huge amount of growth in Eli with his language skills - storytelling, understanding humor and wanting to tell jokes, "teasing", and enunciation - which is huge!
So here are some funny things that E is saying and doing right now:
- I was teasing you! - Any time he changes his mind
- Once upon a time - then a long crazy story incorporating whatever is in sight - the end
- No way, Jose
- Is that potty talk? Any time he say a letter that could be associated with "potty talk" - T, P, or when he is actually telling me he has to go. The story behind that is having to sit him down and talk about what is funny and what is not - like calling people a "poo-poo baby." Thanks Preschool!
- Is there Wi-Fi in here? Oh, the next generation!
- Let's send an e-mail to .....
- Always wanting to dance - a boy after my heart - so we put on Pandora and have a mini dance break
- His imagination is blooming! I love to step back and just watch him play and listen to the epic battle that is going on between toys. He is a boy, everything is fighting or being rescued.
- Jesus told me I could . . . then it's usually followed by something he actually can't do - go upstairs by himself, go outside by himself, etc.
- Playing games! We have been able to play some family games like Uno, dominos, Wahoo and Hungry Hippos.
- Can we watch too much TV today?
- And the new nighttime routine once he is all tucked in- Mommy, I need to ask you something. Can we go to Mia's house on Tuesday, Mimi and Papaw's on Saturday and stay in our PJs all day Wednesday? And all you can do is answer yes. If you say, No, because...it all turns to tears.

- Oh, I love ______. Do you love_____? The blank has been - blueberries, pizza, baseball, football, playing with chalk, etc.
